This workshop is offered through extendYoga as part of an outdoor workshop series celebrating and exploring the “Gifts” of the Season as defined by ancient healing traditions. This Fall Equinox, experience the power of pause in the park under the canopy of the beautiful Sycamore Tree & Fire Ring at the Locust Grove Nature Center. This outdoor workshop will include mindful movement, guided and silent meditation, journaling, discussion, and sharing… and maybe s’mores! Bring a yoga mat and walking shoes. 😊
About the Sycamore Fire Ring at Locust Grove Nature Center:
The Sycamore Fire Ring is our largest and most distinctive. It is situated under the beautiful arching branches of our 200 year old sycamore tree. The murmuring sounds of adjacent Cabin John Creek can be heard. Ideal for ceremonies of any kind. The Sycamore is about a 4 minute walk from the parking lot. Meet us at the bridge and we’ll walk down together.

Bethesda, MD 20817 (Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center parking lot is where you can park for Locust Grove).

Find Us: Look for the Locust Grove Nature Center sign & entrance. If you are looking at the tennis center, the entrance and sign is all the way to the right (also close to the parking lot entrance from Democracy). Meet us at the bridge.
Parking: Free and ample parking in the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center lot.
We’ll send a reminder out to you before class, but please review these important notes about class:
- Please check in with extendYoga staff upon arrival.
- Bring your own: mat, props, towel, blanket, layers (if needed), bug spray, and water.
- Bring walking shoes (~4 min walk to get to class site).
- Please do not come to class if you do not feel well.
- Leave your worries behind and unwind with us 😊
