An oasis in a busy week, guest teacher Linda Naini's class focuses on cultivating freedom and peace in our lives by bringing a non-judging awareness to our moment-to-moment experience. It includes an introductory talk, two guided meditations (roughly 15 and 30 minutes), brief mindful movement, sharing and Q & A. Learn to meditate or deepen your meditation practice in a warm, kind, and supportive community. We meditate together and explore diverse aspects of insight (vipassana) meditation and related practices. The weekly group is drop-in and donation-based. Insight meditation cultivates our natural wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind. This class includes a 30-minute guided meditation, a dharma (teaching) talk of 30-45 minutes, and time for sharing and discussion.
